Records of my Direct Lineage
I
have compiled these records in an attempt to
display the history of my ancestral line in the ‘Sandland’ family
down to my father's generation, and extended them to my own direct
descendents. All other descendents of family members in my fathers
generation are noted at the base of their record as a 'footnote'.
Hopefully future generations will expand these records for their own
purpose.
Priority has been given to
those who have been born 'Sandland' and retained
the family name. It has not been my intention,
however, to detract from the importance of all
those ladies who, over the years, have married
into or out of the family, as no descendants
would be here today had it not have been for
them.
I have, with the input of other
researchers and family members, traced my particular branch of
the Sandland family back to the late 1500's and all
records are true to the best of our knowledge. Some early records show
the name to also have been Sandlane, Sandlande and Sandlands at that
time.
All 'facts' have been
proven where possible and most records have been recorded on 'Family Tree Maker' - one of
the leading Family History computer software programmes. If you
require any Source Citations and/or registration details, please
contact accordingly.
Please also be aware that
there are periods of 'double dated years' in all historical records
i.e. 1632/1633 - where the recorded date could be either year.

How to
use
If
you know the name of the person you are reviewing, then the 'Quick
find..' facility at the top right of this page is the best way to
access the records. You can also use this facility to scroll down
and just browse the names. Otherwise use
Named Sandland Records.
Each record
accessed will show birth, baptism, marriage date etc along with
Mother, Father, Spouse where known and a short biography of the
individual. If images of the person are available they will also be
displayed. Click on any name that has a ARN (Ancestral Record Number)
to go to that particular individual's record.
A short generation pedigree
is shown at the base of each record which also has the
facility to click on a name to access an individual's record where
available. Further access to an
individual's record can be made from
My Direct Line accessed from
this and the Family page.
Please be aware
that personal information on a 'living' member will be withheld unless or
until that individual has provided permission for the
information to be displayed or the information is already in the
public domain.
