Biography
Harry was born in Nantwich on
31st Aug 1909. By 1911 he was living at 7 Bowers
Row (off Mill Street), Nantwich at the age of 1
tear and was baptised at the same time as his
brothers Edward (SA113) and John (SA115) in
Nantwich Parish Church on 27th Dec 1911.
He married Gladys Garford
during the forth quarter 1929 and they had one
son.
He was involved in the
running of the Billiard Hall in Nantwich for
many years and was noted as the best snooker
player in Nantwich. He also had a fine
collection of snooker cues that were auction off
by auctioneer Peter Wilson on Thursday 16th Sep
2010.
Harry lived in the 'Cheerbrook'
area of Newcastle Road, Willaston, Nantwich and
his son, Donald, lived next door.
Harry died in Sep 1998 at the
age of 89 years.
