Leonard was born during the
second quarter 1907 in Nantwich, Cheshire and
was living with his parents at 9 Albion Street,
Nantwich at the time of his baptism on 1st May
1907.
In 1911 he is shown to be
living with some of his siblings at 9 Albert
Street, Nantwich age of 15 years with the
occupation of Tailor's Presser - it would appear
that his mother and father were lodging with
elder brother Ernest in Ellesmere Port at the
time of the census.
There are some indications
that Leonard moved to Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
and married Evelyn Amy Davies at Ellesmere Port
on 19th Oct 1929 at the age of 22 years (not
substantiated).
