Biography
William was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire,
England Abt. 1809.
He married Mary Elizabeth, also from Birmingham,
and they moved to the London area. They
were recorded to have lived in Hatton Garden,
Saffron Hill, Finsbury, London for many years
and then at 28 Ely Place, Saffron Hill. They
were thought to have had no children.
William's occupation was recorded as a Jewellery
Manufacturer and later in life as an Agent. He
also shown to be a member of the Board of Works
for the Holborn District of London. Sandland
Street in Red Lion Square, Holborn is named
after him.
William died 30th Oct 1879 in London at the age of
70 years. His will was proved on 15th Dec 1879
which stated effects estimated under £450 to his
wife Mary Elizabeth.
