Biography
Esther was born on 6th May 1787 in Lichfield,
Staffordshire, England.
She married Richard Astbury, who came from
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, at St Michael's,
Stafford on 23rd Oct 1806. Esther and Richard
moved to India and they had one child, Richard.
Esther's husband Richard died on 20th May 1823
in Berhampole, Bengal, India. Esther and son
Richard then moved to Quebec, Canada.
Esther later married an A Lewis. I have no
records regarding Esther until she married for a
third time - she married a Robert Slater and
moved to Michigan, USA.
Esther subsequently moved back to Canada later
in her years as she is recorded to have died
there in 1880.
